NightMoves is an ongoing
series of dance performances in small places.
NightMoves #1 is a collection of new dances by Marin
Orlosky and Riva Nathans.
"Some of them are
happy, some of them are sad"
Marin Orlosky's bio:
Marin Orlosky has been dancing since the age of 3.
Her dance training includes the Joffrey Ballet
School, the Alvin Ailey School, Trapeze School New
York, New York Circus Arts Academy, and intensive
Fosse technique with Diana Laurenson and Jeff Shade.
She has been choreographing since the age of 10,
receiving her first commission at age 14. She
recently graduated from Harvard University with a
B.A. in English and American Literature and Language,
and a Secondary Field in Dance and Drama. While at
Harvard, she performed and choreographed for Harvard
Ballet Company, Harvard-Radcliffe Modern Dance
Company, Harvard Contemporary Dance Ensemble,
Dancers' Viewpointe, and numerous dance-theater
productions. She has performed and taught aerial
silks and contortion professionally since 2006.
Riva Nathans' bio:
Riva Nathans currently choreographs for and performs
with the Harvard-Radcliffe Modern Dance Company,
where she is Assistant Director. She has also
appeared in Dancers' Viewpointe, Arts First,
DanceShowcaseOne, and the play Shahrazad. She has
trained at Harvard University, American Dance
Festival, Bates Dance Festival, Green Street Studios,
the Dance Complex, and the Peabody Institute in
Baltimore, and is currently at Harvard University
working on a B.A. in Neurobiology with a Secondary
Field in Dramatic Arts.
